but you can't compare it to seat belts or any driving infraction because you would be doing that on government owned property (roads). Federal, state, and local governments can probably even enforce the masks and other lockdown measures for individuals on their property.

I am not an anti-masker - I wear one whenever and wherever it is required. I am not 100% sold that the basic cotton masks do much good so I actually focus on maintaining distance at all times. And I agree that if there is any chance it reduces the spread then they should be worn. I think you're equating not wearing mask to manslaughter is absolutely ridiculous but you are entitled to your opinion for sure. I am simply stating the legal facts - outside of potentially government property, none of these lockdown measures are laws and therefore no one can be convicted of a crime for not adhering to them. Some localities are actually threatening arrests as scare tactics but no judge in this Country would actually hear the case.
